WARRANTY

At Toncha Hardwood, we stand behind our products and our quality build, and warrant that every furniture product is free from defects in regards to workmanship and finish. We build our furniture to last and believe that our products will last you a lifetime if properly cared for and maintained. At our sole discretion and at no additional cost to our customers, Toncha Hardwood will make any and all necessary repairs, replacements, adjustments and modifications to ensure our products remain in good condition for 2 years.

Wood is a natural, living thing. As such, it will have natural occurring variances in its appearance. Small knots, grain pattern variance, lighter/darker appearance and colour, gum streaks, mineral deposits, small pin holes, etc., are all part of the natural characteristics of the wood and should not be considered as a defect or deficiency. Instead, we invite you to join us in celebrating and appreciating these natural occurrences and variances in wood as they form a beautiful and unique final product. At Toncha Hardwood, we do our best to accurately represent the final colour and stain of our products, but please note that this is just a representation and not a warranty/guarantee. We cannot guarantee that the final product will be an exact colour match to what you might see on our website. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee that your device screen will accurately represent and show the colour of our stains. No two products produced at Toncha Hardwood are the exact same. However, we assure you that when you purchase dining sets, or multiple products around your house, your products will perfectly complement and pair up with one another.

LIMITATIONS AND EXCEPTIONS

Our warranty lasts for 2 years from the date of the shipment and is only valid for the original purchaser of our products. Toncha Hardwood warranty only extends to the normal usage of our products, unless otherwise specified, and in accordance to care and maintenance instructions given to our clients at the time of purchase. You may also refer to our care instructions on this website to learn about best ways of caring for your furniture products. No warranty applies to any product in any condition that resulted from accidental damage, environmental effects, misuse, acts of third persons, abuse, delivery or transport damage, incorrect or inadequate maintenance and care for product(s), any and all alterations and moderations to the product not done by Toncha Hardwood. Any damage or defects that occur due to chemical treatments, cleaning products or protective coatings applied to the product void the product of all warranties. In the event of a product defect, the customer should contact Toncha Hardwood for a warranty replacement or repair within the 2 year period with a valid explanation and proof of defect. Toncha Hardwood reserves the right to refuse any and all warranty claims that it deems as invalid due to the above mentioned limitations and exceptions. This is done at the sole discretion of Toncha Hardwood.

For further clarification and in addition to above limitations and exceptions, Toncha Hardwood does not warrant:

  • natural variations in wood grain or any natural characteristics of the wood

  • colour changes in the surface finish due to aging or sunlight exposure

  • failure resulting from normal wear or tear

  • damage or staining of surface due to contact with other compounds (rubber, markers, fabrics, textiles, metals, etc.)

  • any damage or marking occurring from writing with sharp objects

  • non-standard finishes applied by third parties or spec’d by our clients

  • products exposed to abnormal environmental conditions or improper storage / installation

  • small checks, cracks, splits or any minor defect that does not affect overall structure and stability of the product

In case of damage during shipping, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order. Any visible shipping damage should be noted on the delivery slips and photographed for proof. Swift communication is key in establishing a proper shipping / transport damage claim. Please keep records and proofs of everything related to this issue.

CLAIMS

If your product is defected and you meet all the criteria mentioned in the above limitations and exceptions, please notify us at your earliest convenience with your order number and we will provide you with further details on how we can proceed with your claim.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

We believe that you will love and enjoy your product and you won’t have any reasons to seek returns or refunds. Due to the nature of our work and the custom options, we do not accept any refunds 48 hours after the order has been placed. In the case that a refund is absolutely required, a 15% breakage fee will be applied to the refund value of the order. This includes any and all materials purchased, taxes and fees that may be applied to your order. If a considerable time has passed since the order has been made, there is an extreme likelihood that a refund will not be possible as major labour and materials have already been invested into the completion of this order. At this point, we will proceed with carrying out the order.
Completed orders cannot be returned unless there is a legitimate warranty issue. Determination of a legitimate warranty claim is at the sole discretion of Toncha Hardwood.
