Shinnoki is often used to panel walls because the boards come pre-made, and all you have to do is assemble and install them. 

 

The lacquer on the Shinnoki is resistant to splash water. However, avoid placing Shinnoki in areas in the home or business that are more susceptible to large spills of water. Not recommended for kitchen or bathroom countertops.
